Good day,he
I would like to welcome you to St. Veronica’s page. St. Veronica is my patron saint. My parents gave me her name when I was baptized in the Roman Catholic Church. I make rosaries and put them under St. Veronica. I will be posting my rosaries and they are for sale.
Although she is not in the bible, she does hold a place on the stations of the cross, number 6. Sadly she is not in the bible, there is no mention at all.
When she saw Jesus, she offered her veil to wipe his face and thus his image was imprinted on her veil. This is locked away in the vaults of the Vatican and is according to the church a very important relic. However, saying that, the one in the Vatican may be a copy. No one is sure if the “real” veil was destroyed.
Prayer to St. Veronica
St. Veronica, pray for us to our Lord Jesus that his Holy Face may be imprinted on our hearts, so that we may always be mindful of His tortuous Passion and Death, which he endured for love of us. Dearest St. Veronica, increase our desire to gaze upon that most radiant face of our Redeemer, that face that so closely resembles the face of His mother Mary. May our longing for the beatific vision, of beholding God face to face, motivate us to give our lives away in service to the Lord. May we ceaselessly search for Christ in the face of the poor, the sick, they dying, the lonely, the rejected, and the unloved. May we joyfully sing out with the psalmist, “Of You my heart has spoken; seek His face. It is Your face O Lord that I seek, hide not Your face.”
Amen
Her feast day is July 12 and she is the patron saint of photographers and laundry workers.
.
Thank you.
