As a pet mom, the love we have for our fur or feather babies is unconditional. As well as the unconditional love they have for us. The growl, bark, meow, tweet into our lives, and mark a permanent spot for them.
They become members of our family, not just a pet. My five babies, Casey, Finnigan, Hawthorne, Benny and Brooklyn, are my babies. I don’t dress them up in clothes, they wouldn’t let me if I tried, but they are my fur children. Before you say anything, I know they are animals and not children. However, never having had children, this is the closest I will get to having children.
You may be wondering why I am offering Pet Funerals and Memorials. It is just as I stated. They are family. Why shouldn’t they have the same thing as a human leaving this world? I believe that St. Francis of Assisi would approve.
As you know, St. Francis is the patron Saint of animals. He loved them all. He would call them Brothers and Sisters. Like St. Francis, I, too, love all animals, even the creepy-crawly, slithering ones. I may not want to handle them regularly, but I will touch them in a controlled environment.
I mean, I held an alligator or was it a croc? Hmmm… see for yourself.
So when our little furry, feathery, scaly, or whatever beloved pet may have passed on, it is traumatic in our lives. Especially if you have young children.
They may not understand what has happened to their goldfish or mouse etc. Death is part of the grieving that happens in life. We bid our loved ones farewell at a funeral or memorial, so why not our beloved animals?
If you like to have such a service, I promise it will be dignified and help your loved ones through their grief.
Contact me, and we can discuss the type of service you want.
Blessings
