Yesterday was my official weigh-in. I am down to 212 lbs. So from my official weigh-in last Wednesday, I am down 4 lbs. I lost inches on my calves and my thighs.
The past few weeks, it has been hot and humid. I don’t do well with either. So I have been eating less. According to my Lose It program, I am allowed 1311 calories daily this week. However, even if allowed, I will still eat less daily. I was trying to stay under that 1311.
I was around 1200 but then decided I wanted to lose weight faster, so I am under 1100, then now under 1000. I am getting protein in one way or another. I eat peanut butter at least once a day or every other day. I have my six-bean salad, which I love, and chickpeas.
Clothing has been an issue now. I wanted to try my bathing suit on to start going for water therapy for my knee. The old swimsuit was a size 28. The new one was a 24. I am happy to say I am into the new one, which I like better. The colour was black trimmed in white.
Trying on other outfits made me wonder how many clothes I could keep. There are not many. My size 4x pants will have to go, as well as my dresses and some tops. T-shirts are easy enough to keep. So I have a green bag of clothes to send to the Salvation Army store.
Body image has been complex for me. I have been demanding of myself and how I lookâno more. I have seen the change in my body as it is shrinking. Yes, I will sag and bag, but I don’t care. I am not doing anything for anyone other than myself.
Changing my body perception is crucial for me. I always tried to please everyone else. My mom, my husband, friends and family. No longer. This journey is about me, my health. I like this new lifestyle.
My meals are delicious, and I genuinely love making my meals. Not so much during this heat and humidity. It is too hot to bother to make something fun, so I opt for something fast.
Here are a couple of photos, one of my soup tonight, and the other is the pile of clothes I am donating.

Have a wonderful day!
Cheers
