I am more than just a pretty face!

There is a great deal more to me than just a pretty face. Well, I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder as my Nana use to say.

However at St. Veronica, we do more than just pray for people, volunteer. We also do Weddings, Funerals, Celebration of Life and of course Baptisms. I have been fortunate over the past couple of years to be able to marry so many wonderful couples.

I even married a couple this year during the COVID-19 under proper conditions of course. This couple is very close to me as it was my older cousin who started off every April fools with “she said yes” but then realized that she really was the one. Joan, who I only met at the wedding is a lovely woman who matches my cousin Peter perfectly.

She owns her own small business in Collingwood. He owns his own company as well. Very well suited.

I was also touched when a friend with whom I became acquainted with through a company I worked for, asked me to do her brother’s Celebration of Life early this year. It was an honour for me to speak about this fine man. It was great seeing them as well seeing as I don’t work at the park any longer but still keep in touch.

Being blessed to know so many wonderful people over the past couple of years has made this wonderful for me and not like I am being forced to do something just because. I truly love doing what I am doing. I love seeing my couples and what they are up to. As a matter of fact one of the brides, Jessica, she did her own flowers for her wedding and now she has her own floral shop making gorgeous flowers for other brides.

So I am so much more and will be expanding my store as soon as I can find the proper online one. There are so many to choose. I love the support I get for my products. The rosaries I do make myself. I have lost more beads and findings than most people lose socks in the wash. Each rosary I make, I bless myself.

There is no magic way or machine in my house to make them, just my crooked little hands. I am going to be offering up prayer cards and medals soon. I hope you enjoy coming to my page and if there is a prayer request you have, please let me know and I will send the prayer out there.

Thank you and have a blessed day.
